Meet Sean, one of our most friendly and supportive driving instructors. Sean enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and helping them reach their driving objectives. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a learner pass and knowing he played a part in making that happen.
His top advice for learners? Be patient, trust the process, and take your time—rushing leads to unnecessary mistakes. And on test day, stay calm and focused. Confidence is key!
My name is Sean; I love meeting new people from all walks of life and the relationships and bonds that you build with them. I also love it when they pass, knowing that they’ve ticked a box on one of their life goals, and that I helped them accomplish that.
Learning to drive takes time and patience. Trust the process, stay committed, and don’t rush yourself—you’ll get there when you’re ready.
The most important piece of advice I can give on test day is to stay calm and not let your nerves get the better of you. Many learners fail not because they aren’t capable but because their nerves lead to silly mistakes—mistakes they wouldn’t usually make in lessons. Take a deep breath, stay focused, and trust in your abilities.
When I had a student pass his test, as soon as the examiner told him he had passed, he jumped out of the car, screamed his head off and punched the sky. The examiner had to tell him to get back in the car so she could finish the paperwork. It’s moments like that that make it worthwhile.
