After many years of driving professionally, I realised I needed a change from the routine of minicabs and courier work. I wanted to put my experience and road knowledge to better use, and teaching new drivers felt like the perfect choice. Nearly 20 years later, I can confidently say it was the right decision.  

As a driving instructor, I find it incredibly rewarding to help new drivers become Safe, Confident, and Considerate on today’s roads. Teaching is both challenging and fulfilling because every pupil brings unique learning needs, but the transformation I see in my students makes it all worthwhile.

I advise all my pupils to:

1. Take regular lessons: Weekly lessons provide consistent practice and are key to mastering driving skills.
2. Stay positive: Focus on passing your test rather than worrying about failure. A positive mindset helps build confidence.
3. Concentrate on the present: Stay in the moment and focus on what you’re doing rather than dwelling on past mistakes.

I love the opportunity to guide learners as they develop essential driving skills. Watching them grow from nervous beginners into capable, independent drivers is a privilege. Driving is a life-changing skill that opens up new opportunities and freedoms, and being a part of that journey keeps me motivated daily.
