Does It Take Long to Become a Driving Instructor?

What Comes Next When You Decide To Become A Driving Instructor?

To become an ADI, you have to complete three qualifying tests. 

Part One – This has two separate tests. You will need to pass them both—the theory for your knowledge of the Highway Code and a hazard perception test. 

Part Two – The is an advanced practical driving test. You’ll need to demonstrate a professional driving ability. It will be with a DVSA examiner. This will be 60 minutes of driving. 

Part three – This is a one-hour lesson with a pupil. A senior examiner will sit in the back of the car and will mark your performance as you go.
