My introduction

My name is Simon; I am a manual driving instructor who loves meeting people from all walks of life, teaching a valuable skill that lasts a lifetime, and enjoying the flexibility and variety this career offers. Helping learners achieve their goals and gain independence is what drives my passion for teaching.   

My advice for new learners

Learn at your own pace, and don’t feel pressured to follow what your friends are doing. Driving is a personal journey, and it’s important to focus on what works best for you.  

Test day tips

All the hard work you’ve put in during your lessons has prepared you for this moment. Concentrate on what you’re doing, stay focused, and you’ll find the driving test much easier than you might expect.  

My standout moment

One of my proudest achievements as a driving instructor was teaching both of my daughters. They each passed their driving tests on their first attempt, which was a special and rewarding experience for me.

Simon has been a fantastic instructor. He always worked around my schedule, fitting lessons around my job, and was punctual. I came to him as a nervous driver from a previous instructor with bad habits.
